Living With Purpose
Just like tectonic plates, which sometimes move away from each other and at other times crash into each other, the world in which we live is making a phenomenal transition, with unparalleled global upheaval. Moments of hope and success are followed by moments of despair and destruction. The world is not aligned, tolerance for different views is disappearing and people are stuck to their own solutions.
This phenomenon is also occurring in businesses. Seismic changes are happening. Growth is moving to emerging countries where growing middle classes are demanding their rightful access to a better life with as consequence that governments and cooperation’s alike are scrambling to secure access to commodities and our planet is struggling to cope with the environmental fall-out.
With ageing populations in the West and the rise of the East the demand for talent is only going to increase. Talent has boundless opportunities and can move freely around the world. Individuals are being chased by companies and governments alike and can now set their own rules. The prime motive of talent is moving away from just making money, towards attaining an enjoyable, fulfilling life with a sense of meaning.
Only a few companies have been able to capitalise on these changes. Most companies are still being organised, structured and led in a way that goes against the grain of this new paradigm. Although they all know and proclaim that the new sources of sustainable competitive advantage have people at the centre, they have not been able to translate and weave the consequences into the fabric of their organisations.
As a result the manner in which most companies are being organised, structured and governed is at loggerheads with what talent wants.
Engage Consulting is being born out of this realisation, out of a strong belief that we can help companies and their people improve the way they live and work with each other. We will help organisations to engage their leadership teams, talent and workforce, foster commitment towards a co-created future and build a high performance business.
